Yes — most car rental rates cancel free up to 24–48 hours before pick-up, and the exact deadline is shown on your rate and in your confirmation email. Cancel on the Manage booking page at dubairentals.com/manage, using your booking reference and the email you booked with. Car rentals cannot be cancelled from My Trips in your account — the rental is held in our car partner's system, so the manage-booking page is the only place it can be done.
How to cancel, step by step
- Open dubairentals.com/manage and stay on the Cars tab.
- Enter your booking reference — a car reference is two letters followed by nine digits, like AE921449070 — and the email address you booked with.
- Your booking opens; use the cancel option there.
- Keep the cancellation confirmation email — it is your proof of when you cancelled.
Where your deadline lives
The free-cancellation window is stated in three places: the rate details before you book, your voucher, and your confirmation email. Check the exact date and time rather than assuming — deadlines are precise, and missing one by an hour still counts as missing it.
What a late cancellation costs
Cancel after the free window and your refund is reduced by an administration charge: AED 185, or three days' rental / AED 419 — whichever is the greater. That charge is capped at a maximum of AED 1,256, and it can never exceed what you actually paid, so a late cancellation never bills you on top of the booking.
Cancelling also cancels your add-on insurance
If you bought add-on insurance with the rental, cancelling the car cancels that cover automatically — there is nothing separate to cancel, and no policy is left running against a booking you no longer hold.
Changing plans instead of cancelling?
